"I bought a Gorenge fridge freezer before i got the smeg but it was faulty & had to be returned. Meant to be?Though both appliances are very similar in design nothing beats a smeg for sheer aesthetic beauty.
Be warned though, it is rather large & could easily swamp a small room. My kitchen is 13 foot sq & it just about feels ok in that space.
A lot of money undoubtedly & it feels like a luxury item. I have wanted a smeg for many years.
I had an inheritence from my brother & i know he always admired smeg fridges.
A thing of beauty to counteract a little the very sad event of losing my brother. I'm sure he would have approved."

"After reading some really mixed reviews I was a little apprehensive about spending so much money on a fridge. It arrived the next day and has been working wonderfully. It looks great, much better than the clunky silver one we were replacing. The build quality is great, I did go into a shop to try a few different ones and can confirm that the smeg 'sounds just like a golf' ie you get what you pay for"
