"I was worried that I'd miss having proper physical controls to grab when things boiled over, but that hasn't been a problem at all. The user interface is really well designed and responsive, so much so that it actually feels MORE controllable than a gas hob.
The one disadvantage is a flip side of the fact that it's just a big flat sheet of glass, which makes it really easy to keep clean, but there's nowhere to put lids and spoons when you're not using them. On a gas hob I'd just rest them on an unused burner but of course that doesn't work here."

"Haven't used it much yet but it is amazingly fast. Wondered why I would want to boil water on it, so just for interest tested it against the kettle and it took the same length of time. Still not sure that I will ever use the 6th sense function."

"Apart from being a great excuse for buying new pans (the old ones were not magnetic) this hob is a pleasure to cook with. I'm not very technical and was concerned that I would not like touch controls but they are very straight forward to use. Just ensure if you are using more than one ring that you are adjusting the temperature on the right zone. Temperature adjustment is very easy with the slide control and is instantly responsive which is a vast improvement on our old halogen hob but I find myself turning things down too low too soon. I'll soon get used to it! I love the combination zone, big enough to do the gravy in your roasting tin. I gave a 4 for cleaning only because the shiny surface shows every spec of dust so it never stays looking spotless for long, but this is not a big deal. I would not like to shake a wok on this glass area as I would be worried it might get scratched, which may be a concern to some.Highly recommend this product."

"Very pleased with this item - we've been using it for a couple of weeks now.
Vast improvement on previous conventional hob.
Very responsive controls.
I like the simmer which works well.
I have been able to use our wok on the large 'ring' which I was pleased about - some reports that it wouldn't be any good not correct.
Yes it does make a few strange noises but can't hear them once the extractor's on. We've had to stop using a couple of non-steel pans."

"Had this hob for a couple of weeks now and really like it. I mostly use the left side for my normal sized pans and the little ring on the right for the occasional milk pan. The Large ring is great when you want to use a large stockpot or frying pan. Heats up the pans really quick and the boost function is amazingly fast. Only downside is its a bit noisy but you soon get used to it."

"Exceptionally controllable heat. Great features including the simmer mode (especially when pressure cooking). Timer function is also a bonus. Easy to clean. Have found no problem with using different sizes of pan, providing it has correct magneitism. 100% improvement on my old solid hob"
