"We had a THORN EMI BENDIX COMPACT for 30 years.
this was 2.5kg capacity, weighed 36.5kg and 46 x46 66cm high. Unfortunately the mechanical programmer drive gearing was destroyed by fire from an electrical fault and we could not find a replacement door seal to fit.
The ZWC1301 is slightly larger at 3kg load and the 50cm width x55cm depth and 67 high required modification of the cupboard space, plumbing and power point to install. It is heavier at 50kg and more stable. This was the only compact replacement we could find to fit a small space. With only 46cm depth to fit in the machine protrudes a couple of inches but looks smart. Very pleased so far and have receive favourable recommendations."

"Very good compact machine. perfect for a couple living on a narrowboat. Fits nicely into a small space. Not quite so nice getting it in! Very thankful to the 2 hunky delivery men.
Disappointed that there is no filter as anticipated."

Sometimes needs an extra spin but rarely.

"After years with an old washing machine followed by regular use of my local launderette, this washing machine fitting into the confined space I have available is a revelatory step up and forward for my laundry. The ZWC1301 has the features I would expect in a standard dimensions unit, and is in all respects a modern machine scaled down in size; it looks very smart, and for me and others who require a modern and energy-efficient washing machine for modest size loads, e.g. single person households, to fit into a limited space I would recommend it as a wise if expensive choice."
