A LOVELY FRIDGE FREEZER

"Good for large freezer to fridge ratio narrow spaces - no need to defrost - low power consumption and can be used in outbuildings. Possibly not ideal for really short people - although I am only 5ft 2 and I can reach ok!! .... low rooms could be a problem so remember to measure up! There is also NO high temperature warning .This unit does not hum it makes a whirling noise. There are no running or warning lights and no built in thermometer. The temperatures of fridge and freezer aren't controlled independently but setting the freezer at -18 degreesC ....using my own thermometer does appear to result in the right fridge temperature being achieved - alhough I am still trying to get it at the right freezer temperature and it to stay there! There is a handy ice tray at the top of the freezer. It's best to use ice bags to stop the ice subliming and use the rapid freezing compartment immediately under the ice tray rather than at the bottom. Fridge shelf permutations are good. There are three racks fixed to the door which aren't adjustable but are well located. The length of the power cord is adequate in most situations. I keep the unit in the garage and have a separate fridge and freezer built into the kitchen so I can't comment on how big a family the fridge would suit.". Although - it is quite substantial - albeit narrow."

SO FAR SO GOOD

"We have owned our Beko fridge/freezer for just over a year now and can honestly say it has been brilliant. It's frost free and this is such a bonus as I would have had to de-frost twice by now. Runs quietly, has plenty of fridge and freezer capacity and maintains an even temperature effectively. It's early days yet as my last Electrolux fridge/freezer lasted over 20 years but I'm hopeful that the Beko will be as reliable."

Met our specification

"Good for large freezer to fridge ratio, narrow spaces, no need to defrost, low power consumption, use in outbuildings.

Bad for short people, low rooms, no high temperature warning, very uneven floors.

This unit does not hum, it makes a wheezing noise. There are no running or warning lights, and no built in thermometer. The temperatures of fridge and freezer aren't controlled independently, but setting our freezer at -18 degrees C using our own thermometer resulted in the right fridge temperature. There is a handy ice tray at the top of the freezer. It's best to use ice bags to stop the ice subliming. The rapid freezing compartment immediately under the ice tray rather than at the bottom, and contains a fan linking to a duct that runs down behind the freezer draws . Remember to keep clear the space around the fan else the freezer temperature will rise. The bottom freezer draw is much smaller than the other draws. Fridge shelf permutations are good. There are three racks fixed to the door, which aren't adjustable, but are well located. The length of the power cord is adequate in most situations.

Remember to fit the spacers to the back of the heat sink before pushing the unit against the wall when first installing.

We keep the unit in the utility room and have a separate fridge in our kitchen, so I can't comment on how big a family the fridge would suit."

Brilliant

"I thought I didn't have space for a big fridge/freezer but I was wrong. This fridge/freezer is big inside but slim and I love the fact the children can't reach my chocolate on the top shelf. Its so quiet and looks really smart in my new kitchen."

Really Pleased

"Very pleased indeed with this appliance. The only downfall was it was dirty and needed a thorough clean before using. I could have mistaken it for a ex display, in fact it was dirt from the build. The unit does everything it say on the tin and is just what I required in capacity, just as described."
