1) screw mounts at the top of the case by design.
2) a crackling noise now coming from it (so we now switch it off at the plug, pending fixing/replacing it)
3) default alert is 30 beeps, which needs changing, and goes back to 30 when there's a power cut etc. would be better if it was set to the other '3 beeps option' by default."

"Not disappointd. Easy to clean, easy to use as it is not complicated. A large dinner plate fits in. Quite heavy so doesn't move when you open the door but is also quite large if you are limited for space. Controls are push button with a dial for timing that defaults to 1 minute when setting so you just add or reduce extra minutes or seconds."

"We chose this microwave, on the basis that it's kind of top of the Bosch range, to replace an old Sharp model that had been doing a great job for nearly 30 years before it expired. The Sharp had all kinds of fancy features, like temperature sensor, steam sensor so it knew when, eg, baked spuds were done, and so on.
The Bosch has nothing like this, it's just a basic microwave. It has pre-programmed cooking times for vegetables, rice, etc, in which you input the weight, but no more.It doesn't actually sense anything. No mention of jacket potatoes, but they seem to cook OK on the vegetable programme. You can't even use it as a cooking timer, it only times itself when cooking.
We were slightly disappointed to learn all this, but having said that it seems so far to be a well-built unit, which does the job it's intended to do.
Ordering and delivery from ao.com though, is the best we've ever experienced - score 10 out of 10 for online helpfulness and efficiency."
