"Strong cast pan support and cast plates over the gas distributors but the 'stainless steel' finish of the hob body is very vulnerable to scratching: even an abrasive sponge will mark it badly.
Furthermore, the knobs are cheaply made plastic with a silvery finish which easily knocks off if a pan touches them when being lifted off the hob.
These knobs are expensive to replace (for some reason) and we bought a Smeg oven which had metal knobs as a result of this experience with the hob."

"This hob is sturdy and performs well but has major design fault in that the material with which the knobs are made is unable to stand the heat when a large pan is used and is therefore within an inch or two of the knob. The knob melts. I am having this looked at by a serviceman."

"This hob looks good and is easy to clean. The price was very good in comparison to others of the same quality I viewed in the local stores. It is robust enough to use my cast iron cookware on it, the pan supports feel solid."
