Very happy with the purchase!!!!

"Pro's : Very easy to use, plenty of space in both ovens, handy to have the 4 nice size rings and cooks lovely. Really pleased with its overall look, quality and performance.... :-)))))

Con's: The only 2 things is that ....The writing on the panel to which control operates which ring is underneath the control. So you have to stand back and look. Also the electronic lighter has to be kept in for some time before it stays lit. That's both the rings and ovens..."

Grill blues

"This is an excellent cooker let down by an awful grill. This model replaced a 7 yr old Cannon Chichester made by the same manufacturer. In most respects it is virtually the same except for the grill, which seems to heat a smaller element area. It takes an age to get hot, and the heat distribution is uneven. When it is lit, a fan blows cool air directly out of the opening. When it has heated up hot air is blown directly at you midriff and into the kitchen. In the Chichester the hot air in the grill area is vented via a slot at the back of the hob where a fair amount is dealt with via an extractor fan. There is a vent on the Hotpoint, but not much hot air comes out. Toasting bread is a no no. If you start from cold a slice takes several minutes and is rock hard and unevenly toasted. If the grill is warmed up you have to repeatedly turn the toast around to get even coverage in the sweltering heat being blown at you. I have e-mailed Hotpoint raising this matter. I have had an acknowledgement but no reply."
