"We have had many Hotpoint products so had no concerns in buying the hob. It looks good and is easy to operate. But it stands quite high off the worktop this I believe because of the thickness of the body and to avoid fouling the under worktop hob. We had an AEG hob for 9 years and never a mark but had to change when a bottle fell on it breaking the glass The Hotpoint has been installed and in use for just one week and already there are 2 scratches on the glass. Very disappointed with the fit and apparent ease of scratching I would not recommend this hob. You only get what you pay for comes to mind and we wish we'd stayed with AEG and paid that bit more."

"I am really happy with my new hob. I can't believe how easy it is to keep clean compared to my old gas ringed hob. My only issue was in the beginning getting used to a ceramic hob switching itself on and off. I never knew they did that and thought mine was faulty. But now I am used to it I am really pleased I changed and moved away from Gas."

"Am very pleased with the new hob which replaced another Hotpoint ceramic hob in its 18th year and still going strong but looking its age. This new hob is so easy to use and to clean. The speed of heating up is excellent and makes life much easier. I can find no faults whatsoever. The self coloured seal not only makes it easier to keep clean but also presents a sleek finish to the appearance of the work surface."
