worse product and customer service ever!!! avoid!!!

"purchased last year and only the 2 left hobbs worked from when it was installed. when we contacted samsung you have to tell them the problem and leave your details for them to call you back and if you miss the call you have to start the process again.after one month i finally persuaded them to book an engineer without relying on them to call us back because that was proving too much.

engineer came out a week later to asses problem and then booked an appointment for the following week to replace the faulty part.the engineer came to install the new part but it didn't work so i had to book another appointment for the next week to replace ANOTHER part!

Today he returned to fit the second replacement part but it didn't work and the hobb FAILED TO WORK AT ALL so now we can't use it at all because he made the problem worse!!!Now nothing works!!!

i begged for him to just replace the hobb but he said only samsung could do that.

i contacted samsung and told them what had happened and that we are now without a working hobb with 2 adults and 2 children in the house and that i don't want an engineer to to come out again and only want a replacement but they said that they will have to book an engineer to come out the following week to asses it to see if it could be fixed or replaced!!!

i explained that that would leave us without a hobb for a further week,it wouldn't guarantee it would be working and i would need to take a 3rd day off of work...!

customer services didn't sympathise at all and could only say that to replace it they would have to send an engineer to asses it to say it needed replacing or just let the engineer try to fix it a 3rd time!!! a lose,lose situation for us.

for a hobb that cost less than £300 it has cost me 3 days off,an engineer 3 visits and a possible 2 further visits and at least 2 months of phone calls and visits and it's still not fixed but is now worse.

the advise that the engineer gave me was to not buy anything samsung anymore to avoid the problems because they are always going wrong!!!

honestly the worse customer service and product i've bought for my house.wish me luck and do yourself a favour and avoid this brand.

Not to be used in a busy kitchen

"If a pan boils over, the hob surface becomes wet, and the controls refuse to respond. Conversely, if a pan is accidentally nudged too close to the sensor area, rings just switch off, and are hard to notice, and then sometimes very difficult to switch on again. We frequently have to do a power on reset to try and reactivate the hob. We would never buy a non-manual hob again after our experience and frustration with this unit."

OK for the entry model

"Ive had 2ofthese now the first cracked, which we put down to the builder. However this the second which I purchased and now the elements on the right side have stopped working.

I would say if you are buy this as it is cheap, expect just that.

Great hob!

"This is a very good ceramic hob, very easy to use, easy to keep clean and looks nice! I replaced my old ceramic hob with this one and the only real difference is this one doesn't have an audible alarm when something is placed on the hob outside of the heating ring! I miss this, hence the 4 stars, and would have preferred one with it!

Apart from that it's good!"

Samsung Hob

"Good hob, easy to clean, preheating not so bad, at the moment of less than a month of using, I can't see any negative review yet. Can't recommend this at the moment due to short time of using. "

Faulty hob, had to replace control unit

"Received the hob but right side wasnt working so had to get samsung to come fix it under warrenty. Engeneer said its the control unit thats faulty and had to order it. Now left with half working hob for a week. Also touch controls dont always respond very well. And electric wire instalation instructions were confusing. But overall not too bad of a hob. "
