"This machine replaces a 12-year-old machine, so it was bound to impress! However, it has all the flexibility in the settings to, in particular, have shorter washes, the temperature can be set independently of the programmes I have used, anyway. It is really useful to get immediate feedback in the display of what each adjustment (to the temperature, for example) does to the time for the wash. The spin gets things pretty dry. Very happy so far, just don't tumble anything cupboard dry if creases matter to you! Not that you need to. If you set it to "iron dry", the washing then dries on its own with much less creasing."

"We bought this to replace an indesit machine that we'd been happy with until problems with the seal. So far the Hotpoint has been perfect, we do at least one load a day and need to be able to wash and dry quite big loads with a family and this machine copes very well. Short cycle is great and dryer is efficient. I wouldn't say it's particularly noisy, but it's certainly not a 'quiet' machine and if that's important I would look for a different model. Overall very happy for what we get given the price."

"I'm very happy. It's great for the price. Washer/driers are notorious for not really drying very well, not this is not true for this machine. After a great spin the clothes don't need long to tumble dry. WOuld recommend to everyone"
