"I purchased this product after a couple hours of researching both online and in shops. I decided this washer dryer gave the best value for money. Unfortunately I have only been impressed with the washing element.
The washing has a multitude of settings all of which are nicely laid out in the manual with guidance on their use. It even gives a way to estimate the load weight. Each wash without the drying has been superb with no faults. As you can see from below, I have been slightly dissappointed because all but one cycle makes drying mandatory.
Unfortunately the faults appear to me in the drying. I was surprised to find that the only control you have with the drying cycle is how dry you want your clothes, or how long you want the dryer on for. Through trial and error I learned the hard way the temp on the dryer is always extremely hot. This means that with my experience of other dryers where you could have an air-only dry, these features are not in this model. I have done about a dozen loads so far with mixed results on the drying. Be sure you follow your clothes label or you most certainly will end up with ruined or shrink stuff!"

"Very simply, I have had my last HotPoint for the last 15 years. Never missed a beat until last week and it gave up the ghost completely. I looked around and was pleased to find the WDL520P Free Standing Washer Dryer. It compared favourable to the newer model of which all I could see was the spin speed had been increased to 1400. Well my old one was 1100 and that was adequate. The price was also £150 cheaper. It is easy to use and quiet. I will always check out what HotPoint has to offer and suggest that you do too. I have gone for the base model but they have plenty to choose from. Thank you HotPoint."

"i bought the hotpoint washer/dryer and it says for the dryer wardrobe,coathanger, or iron.... neither 1 of them works as it doesnt matter how little clothes you put in they ALWAYS come out creased, badly creased infact, it always has an awful chemical smell to it which transfers to the clothing, far out weighing any fabric conditioner id used in the wash, wouldnt recommend this washer to anyone. if i was you id buy a washer only and buy a seperate dryer.. or a dribuddi"

"I was very pleased with this item having read mixed reviews. It was much bigger than my last machine and has a large drying capacity, if anything the sensor settings dry items a little too much so I prefer to use the timer.
You have to make sure you do not exceed the washing capacity for some of the specialist settings otherwise they do not become wet through, and yes some washes take a long time but they are washing a high capacity of clothing.
I am saving money by doing less loads, but it does make for a lot of ironing at once!"

"This washer/dryer wasnt only the best value but the easiest order I have made. I ordered on Friday early evening and it arrived Sunday morning. No waiting...Amazing.... I received 3 texts and a phone call. the guys were so professional and efficient. I would recomend to anyone. How easy can it be to shop!!"

"Perfect for me: living in a small flat, I needed a combo washer-dryer and it does a really good job! User friendly, good cleaning, excellent drying. A few flaws:
- noisy. As it is in the room next to my bedroom, I can't run it overnight.
- little burn smell on long program. Nothing is burned but it is just getting really hot.
- the silk program is interrupting itself in the middle of it. It is the only one. A friend who's got the same told me she had the same issue. Since then, if I need that program, I just do it when I'm there and I push "continue" when it stops.
All in all, an excellent value for its price!"
