"I'm an electrical engineer, so I knew the build quality was not brilliant. Two visits required by Baumatic service engineers, to fit a new control board in both cases (the first replacement lasted one day before failing). The unit has now been working OK since August 2009, but I'm still glad it's under warranty! It's a nice looking hood, though, and cheap as chips really, so as long as you aren't expecting Rolls-Royce quality, I'd say go for it.."

"Bought for the look and not for the job it does. The instructions are pretty non existant so you need to have a handy person to be able to fit it. however once fitted it looks great for the price."

"On its third control board in just over a year, looks good but fails to deliver, poor reliability, also goes for the baumatic range cooker we bought, on its second timer/controller"
