"It's a great looking product and well proportioned. It worked very well for just under 2 weeks! Then the motor started making rattling grinding noises and when used started running slower and slower the longer it was in use. It would reach a point when there was very little (if any) difference between 1, 2 and 3 speed settings. The extraction is of course very poor now compared to how good it was in the first 2 weeks. Sometimes after being switched off when hot, it would refuse to start again. This was not due to any cut out as power was still being supplied to the motor and you could feel it humming, it just refuses to turn until cool again. After searching on the net it seems the motor becoming noisy and is poor extraction is not an uncommon problem.
Baumatic were contacted and failed to make their first appointment, I am waiting for them to make their next appointment in a few days. Worryingly even though the fault has been described, apparently engineers carry no spares. So I don't know how long it will take to get fixed and/or whether they will simply make a lot of excuses and l;eave me with a white elephant of a cooker hood."

"We bought this extractor because we had one before, it offers good value for money and is very easy to use.
The carbon filters are a little fiddly to fit but nothing too hard"
