"I chose this after reading the reviews as it was cheaper than a similar product I liked. The cooker hood looks lovely fitted, although I do agree with other reviews that the chimney part is quite flimsy - however, when fitted it looks fine and having not had a chimney hood like this before, I don't know whether others are sturdier. It's easy to use - just press a button and you're off, the grease filter is easy to remove as are the lights for changing bulbs (not that I've had to but I did remove them to get the plastic coating off) and the lights are nice and bright. It doesn't come with external ducting but I bought a generic model with a 5" hose and it fitted fine. I haven't used it properly yet (new kitchen being fitted so no cooking done) so can't comment about whether it does the job but I'm happy with it so far."

"The instructions relating to this hood were written by somebody who has absolutely no idea of how to write a clear, concise and step-by-step set of instructions.
The installation procedure is quite literally impossible to follow as per the manual; this states that the wall fixing screws should be tightened fully. If you do this you cannot install the chimney so you have to back-off the screws sufficiently to let the chimney site correctly however you then cannot do up the screws - catch 22! Also unless you have a right angle or stubby screwdriver, you have to remove the cover on the electrical control pack to allow access for the screwdriver. This exposes a delicate and static sensitive PCB to damage.
The method of installing the chimney is completely unworkable as the brackets are incorrectly formed and you will find yourself starting to lose faith in humanity after the 100th attempt at trying to decipher the woeful instructions.
As a technically minded individual with a construction and engineering background and all the right tools to hand I was confident I could install this in twenty minutes. It actually took almost two hours......and even then the end result was not as per the manufacturer’s specifications. Had I not needed to get this installed urgently I would have returned the unit as faulty.
The stainless areas have a protective coating which should be removed prior to use however it is incredibly difficult to actually remove, especially on the large flat and flexible areas of the chimney. This is made doubly difficult by the very sharp edges on the stainless......be warned – wear gloves and remove the coating from areas which will be inaccessible after installation otherwise you will need to do a lot of trimming with a knife…..
The unit itself is nice and attractive and does what it says on the tin but it is very disappointing not to find carbon filters included. The attractive appearance does not make up for the woeful installation instructions and other shortcomings and I would certainly advise against purchasing this unit."

"Its appearance is as stylish as other more expensive models,and it extracts well. The twin lamps give excellent lighting on the hob. However, installing the chimney sections was unsatisfactory as the top piece was not securely gripped by its two fixing screws and would slip down a bit when being cleaned. Fitting shakeproof washers did the trick, but the problem was totally eliminated by bonding the sections by drilling through the the overlap and fitting two more self tapping screws!"
