"Whilst I did not find the fan noisy on the high setting, the fitting of the appliance if you follow the manual is little short of useless. After tightening the fixing screws, as instructed, it is then impossible to slide the chimney into place without loosening the screws!!!!!!!! so how do you then tighten them with the chimney in place? It also does not come with the carbon filters for use in the re-circulating mode. The manual says to order them direct from Baumatic, try this as I did and you get an informed person telling you to look on a search engine under "carbon filters" and you "will find lots of suppliers who stock them" Otherwise it looks good (eventually) and the price was reasonable. Just have some patience."

"Obviously a little picky but overall it is excellent value for money
However, on highest extraction setting there is a noticable whine from the motor
The 'chimney' column feels a little flimsy but the overall look of a professionally installed unit is easily achievable with patience and common sense
TIP: to keep the metal parts in top look and condition, use a little olive oil on a rack & clean along the length of the chimney for example, really useful tip that actually works"
