Great once understood!

"Now I’ve become more familiar with my new washer dryer I’m finding it both easy to use, and very efficient.

I’ve always had separate washers and dryers before, and I’m loving the space-saving element of this!

The range of programs is more than sufficient for my needs, and being able to use the “dry only” function is great too. "

Quiet machine with lots of functions & large capacity.

"The machine was purchased to replace a very similar 13 year old version. Took a bit of reading and experimentation with the programmes to get to grips with what was best as there was no obvious successor to my previous preferred setting, but now have it sorted. Some of the programmes are very long in terms of time, but with liquid detergent and day to day wear levels of soiling, the 30 minute rapid wash at 30 degrees is excellent. Not used the dryer function yet at the time of writing. The machine is very quiet, the drum is capacious, and the display screen is very clear and easy to read.

Overall very pleased. It would get 5 stars if it was a bit easier to separate out the wash & dry functions on more of the programmes, but if you do regularly go straight from one to the other I think you’d be very satisfied."

An average washer dryer much like most other machines on the market

"Pretty average really, I mean it washes and dries clothes like you would expect a washer dryer to do. It’s not noisy, but it certainly isn’t quieter than any other machine on the market. The cycles take longer than ever before, as most machines tend to knower days. They use less water and heat the water very slowly to be more efficient, which is good, but not always practical especially if you have kids and some times need to do 3 loads in a day.

It looks ok but again what new machine doesn’t. Build quality again is average, I mean literally most of the it well know brands use the same or at least very similar cheaply produced parts. How many years have hotpoint indesit whirlpool made machines where the end of the shock absorbers crack/fail, do I have any reason to believe they’ve fixed that issue with my new machine? Nope.

I don’t like the way the dial sticks out or the indent in the middle, I had assumed this would push in and out but it doesn’t.

I’m also not enamoured by the programming, it’s certainly more complex than my previous machine even though it doesn’t do anything more. Don’t like the screen, you kind of expect some really modern sharp graphics but it looks like it’s from the 1990s.

It also has a button and despite reading the manual I have no clue what the purpose of it is, the manual says it mixes detergent and water and puts it in with the clothes, isn’t that what a machine should do? Why does it have a button. When you press said button there’s no indication if have toggled it on or off it’s almost like the manufacture needed to fill a gap and said what can we put there?

I really do think it’s about time the manufactures started offering the domestic laundry market something a little more developed."
